Welcome to the website of the Shrine of Our Lady of Egmanton.
In these pages you will find a history of the Shrine, information about the Society of Our Lady of Egmanton and how to become a member, and information about pilgrimages to the Shrine.
Pilgrimages are held three times a year: the first in May comes at the start of the May Devotion to Our Lady, the second in August, which is aimed at families and children, and the third in November which is a Requiem.
2021 PILGRIMAGE DATES ARE 7 AUGUST AND 6 NOVEMBER AT 12PM.
The 6 November Pilgrimage will take the form of
12pm – Requiem Mass (Preacher: Bishop Martyn Jarrett)
1pm – Bring your own picnic lunch
2pm – Rosary and Shrine Prayers, followed by Benediction
On the first Saturday of the month, from June to October 2021 (when there is no pilgrimage), there will be a Mass and Shrine Prayers at 12pm.
The Shrine also has a Facebook page to be found at www.facebook.com/EgmantonShrine
Prayer requests can be sent to the Society using the Contact Us page. Or they can be posted to the Society Group at www.facebook.com/groups/SOLEPrayerGroup. This is a private group for Society members and friends to post prayer requests that will be prayed for at Shrine Prayers, but also by members of the group.
The image of Mary with Jesus our God; Was honoured by all who this pilgrim way trod; Ave Maria…
Again in God’s house Mary’s praises resound; Her name is invoked and God’s blessings abound; Ave Maria…
Thank God for the favours and blessings bestowed; On those who in faith took the pilgrimage road; Ave Maria…
May God at these altars still draw men to know; The treasures of grace that He longs to bestow; Ave Maria…
