PILGRIMAGE PROGRAMME

Pilgrimages are held three times a year: the first in May comes at the start of the May Devotion to Our Lady, the second in August, which is aimed at families and children, and the third in November which is a Requiem in memory of past members of the Society.

The May and November pilgrimages start at 12.00pm with the Pilgrim Mass, usually with a guest preacher. This is followed by Shrine Prayers and then lunch in the Village Hall. Following an afternoon activity the day is closed with Benediction.

The August pilgrimage will in future (hopefully from 2022) focus on families and children. The provisional programme is:

  • 10.00am – Arrival (tea/coffee)
  • 10.30-11.45am – Activities in the Village Hall
  • 12.00pm – Sung Mass, followed by picnic lunch
  • 2.00-2.30pm – Family Benediction, followed by tea and cakes
